The seminar will provide a general overview of bankruptcy. We will review Chapters 7, 11 and 13, discuss how a bankruptcy can help your client, and how to prepare and file a bankruptcy petition. In addition to covering issues from the debtor’s perspective, we will take a look at bankruptcy from the creditor’s perspective as well, such as what happens when a debtor files bankruptcy impeding collection efforts. We will also address litigation and motion practice in the bankruptcy court (i.e., motions for relief from stay).
